இந்த காமநோய், காலைப்பொழுதில் அரும்பாய்த் தோன்றி, பகற்பொழுதெல்லாம் பேரரும்பாய் வளர்ந்து மாலைப்பொழுதில் மலராகின்றது.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா

காதல் துன்பமாகிய இப்பூ, காலையில் அரும்புகிறது; பகலில் முதிர்கிறது; மாலைப்பொழுதில் மலர்ந்து விடுகிறது.
