One day we silent sulked; he sneezed: The reason well I knew;He thought that I, to speak well pleased, Would say, 'Long life to you!'

காதலரோடு ஊடல் கொண்டிருந்தோமாக, யாம் தம்மை நெடுங்காலம் வாழ்க என்று வாய் திறந்து சொல்லுவோம் என நினைத்து அவர் தும்மினார்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா

நான் அவரோடு ஊடிப் பேசாமல் இருந்தேன்; நீடு வாழ்க, என்று சொல்லி அவரோடு பேசுவேன். என்று எண்ணி, வேண்டும் என்றே தும்மினார்! நானா பேசுவேன்? (ஆனாலும் வாழ்த்தினாள்)
