மங்கலம் என்ப மனைமாட்சி மற்று அதன் நன்கலம் நன்மக்கட் பேறு.

மனைவியின் நற்பண்பே இல்வாழ்க்கைக்கு மங்கலம் என்று கூறுவர்: நல்ல மக்களைப் பெறுதலே அதற்கு நல்லணிகலம் என்று கூறுவர்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா

ஒருவனுக்கு நற்குண நற்செயல்களை உடைய மனைவியே அழகு என்று அறிந்தோர் கூறுவர். அந்த அழகிற்கு ஏற்ற அணிகலன்கள் நல்ல பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறுவதே.
