நாணமும் நல்ல ஆண்மையும் முன்பு பெற்றிருந்தேன், (காதலியை பிரிந்து வருந்துகின்ற) இப்போது காமம் மிக்கவர் ஏறும் மடலையே உடையேன்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா

நாணமும் ஆண்மையும் முன்பு பெற்றிருந்தேன்; இன்றோ காதலர் ஏறும் மடலைப் பெற்றிருகிறேன்.

நல்ல ஆண்மையும், நாண உணர்வையும் முன்பு கொண்டிருந்த நான், இன்று அவற்றை மறந்து, காதலுக்காக மடலூர்வதை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளேன்
