The Memory of Kindness

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Aryan and his father, Samuel. Aryan was a bright boy, but he had a quick temper. One afternoon, while playing indoors, Aryan accidentally broke Samuel’s favorite antique wooden clock. Samuel was deeply upset, and the tension in the house was heavy. Aryan felt terrible and stayed in his room, fearing his father's anger. A few days later, while sitting in the garden, Aryan asked his father about his childhood. Samuel smiled and said, 'I remember when you were very small, you fell from a swing and hurt your leg badly. Your friend, Leo, didn't care about his own scraped knees; he stayed by your side and helped the doctor treat you all evening.' As Samuel spoke, the anger he felt about the broken clock seemed to vanish. The memory of Leo's kindness outweighed the frustration of the broken object. Aryan realized that even though he had made a mistake, the goodness people show can heal any wound. He went to his father, apologized sincerely, and they shared a warm hug.
