The Greatest Treasure

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun loved sweets more than anything else in the world. One sunny afternoon, his father, Ravi, handed him a small wooden box. 'Arjun, this is a special treasure. Keep it safe and do not open it until I return,' Ravi instructed before leaving for work. Arjun sat with the box, his curiosity growing. When he finally peeked inside, he found a collection of his favorite colorful candies. His mouth watered, and a voice in his head whispered, 'Just one won't hurt.' But then, he remembered his father calling it a 'treasure' that must be guarded. He took a deep breath, closed the lid tightly, and decided to wait. When Ravi returned in the evening, Arjun proudly showed him the unopened box. Ravi smiled warmly and said, 'Arjun, the candies are sweet, but the self-control you showed by guarding your desire is the true treasure that will guide you through life.' Arjun realized that mastering himself was far more valuable than any candy.
