The Price of Kindness

In a small, peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. He owned a small patch of land and a sturdy bullock cart, which was his family's only source of livelihood. Arjun's family was poor, but they were known for their generous hearts. One stormy night, Arjun heard that an elderly man living in a nearby valley was trapped as floodwaters rose around his small hut. No one was available to help him. Arjun realized that the only way to rescue the old man was to use his bullock cart to navigate the flooded paths. He knew that if he used the cart for this rescue, he would have to sell it to repair the damage and manage the crisis, leaving his family without their main tool. Without hesitation, Arjun drove through the storm, rescued the elderly man, and brought him to safety. Although his family lost their cart, seeing the old man's grateful smile made Arjun realize that no loss is too great when it comes to saving a life and doing good.
