The Treasure That Never Fades

In a peaceful valley lived a young man named Arjun. Arjun was very wealthy and owned vast lands. However, he was often unkind to others, believing that his money made him superior. 'Wealth is everything,' he would boast. One summer, a devastating flood swept through the valley. Arjun’s grand mansion and all his gold were swept away by the rushing waters. He stood amidst the ruins, feeling completely lost and alone. As the waters receded, he saw the villagers helping each other. Among them was Meera, a kind woman who had very little wealth of her own. Despite her modest means, she had spent her life helping the sick and the elderly. Even though her small house was damaged, the villagers gathered around her, speaking with deep respect and gratitude. They remembered how she had shared her last bit of grain during the drought. Arjun realized then that while his gold had vanished, Meera’s kindness had built a legacy that no flood could wash away. He understood that true greatness lies not in what we possess, but in the goodness we leave behind.
