The Secret of Peace

In a bright little village lived a boy named Kavin. Kavin was a smart boy, but he struggled with three heavy shadows. First, if he didn't get what he wanted, he would burst into anger. Second, whenever he saw a new toy, a restless desire to own it would take over his mind. Third, he often felt lost and confused about what to do next. Because of these three things, Kavin was rarely happy, and his home was often filled with shouting. One evening, his grandfather sat him down. 'Kavin,' he said gently, 'inside you, there are three little monsters: Desire, Anger, and Confusion. If you can master them, you will find true peace.' Kavin was curious. 'How, Grandpa?' he asked. 'When anger rises, breathe and stay still. When desire pulls you, be content with what you have. When confusion clouds your mind, stop and think calmly.' Kavin began to practice. A few days later, his friend accidentally broke his favorite toy. Kavin felt the heat of anger rising, but instead of shouting, he took a deep breath and stayed calm. Later, he saw a beautiful kite in a shop; instead of crying to buy it, he smiled and felt happy with his own ball. Slowly, the shadows left him. He became a boy who acted with clarity and kindness, and everyone in the village loved him.
