Kadir and the Mirror of Desires

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Kadir. Kadir had a habit of always wanting more—more toys, more sweets, and more everything. One day, during the village fair, an old man set up a stall with a mysterious mirror. 'Look into this mirror, and you will see everything you ever desired,' the old man whispered. Kadir peered into the glass. He saw magnificent castles, mountains of candy, and endless toys. To get these things, the mirror suggested he must give away his most precious belongings. Kadir looked at his small wooden horse and the shiny pebbles his friends had gifted him. He felt a tug-of-war in his heart. He started chasing the illusions in the mirror, but the more he wanted, the more restless and unhappy he became. He realized that his heart felt heavy and empty. The old man approached him gently and said, 'Kadir, true purity of mind comes when you are no longer a slave to your cravings. Loving the truth means knowing what is real and what is just a shadow.' Kadir took a deep breath and decided to let go of the greed. As he stopped chasing the reflections, a strange sense of peace washed over him. He realized that true joy wasn't in having everything, but in needing nothing.
