King Vikram of Chozhapuram was a wise ruler. One summer, the kingdom faced a big problem: the great dam needed urgent repairs before the monsoon arrived. The King needed a leader for this task. First, he considered young Ilango. Ilango was brilliant and full of ideas, but he had never managed a large project before. Then, he thought of old Manickam. Manickam was a master builder with decades of experience, but his health was failing, and he could no longer work in the heat. The King sat in silence, weighing his options. 'What is the task? Repairing the dam. Who is needed? Someone skilled yet strong. When must it be done? Before the heavy rains come,' he mused. Finally, he chose Kathir, a seasoned engineer who was still energetic and capable. Kathir worked tirelessly, and thanks to his leadership, the dam was completed just as the first rains fell. The kingdom was safe because the King chose the right person, for the right job, at the right time.
