In a peaceful valley lived a young boy named Leo. His father was the captain of the village guard. One stormy night, a fierce wind swept through the valley, knocking down trees and scattering the forest animals in fear. Most of the village's young helpers ran to hide in their homes, terrified of the noise. However, Leo watched from his window as his father and the guards stood together in the village square. They didn't run; they stayed close, helping each other secure the gates and protect the elders. The next morning, Leo asked, 'Father, aren't you afraid of the wind?' His father replied, 'A true team isn't just about fighting enemies, Leo. It is about staying together and not deserting each other when things get difficult.' Leo realized that true strength isn't just about power, but about the loyalty that keeps a group unbroken.
The Strength That Stays
The story illustrates the Kural by showing that a true force is one that does not break apart or desert its post during times of crisis. That indeed is an army which has stood firm of old without suffering destruction or deserting (to the enemy)
