In a peaceful village lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun was known for his kind heart, but his friend, Rohan, was quite the opposite. Rohan loved to argue and would get angry at the slightest provocation. One afternoon, during a friendly game, Rohan lost a round and started shouting at a younger boy named Leo. Instead of shouting back or getting angry, Leo simply smiled gently and walked away to help someone else. Rohan laughed, 'Why are you running away, Leo? Are you scared?' Arjun, watching this, stepped in and said, 'He isn't running, Rohan. He simply has no room in his heart for hatred. How can you ever win a fight against someone who refuses to fight you?' Rohan fell silent. He realized that by refusing to be an enemy, Leo had become someone he couldn't truly defeat. The strength of Leo's peace was greater than the power of Rohan's anger.
The Unconquerable Calm
The story illustrates that a person who refuses to engage in hostility is impossible to defeat. Who indeed would think of conquering those who naturally shrink back from hatred ?
