The Balanced Path

In a peaceful valley lived two friends, Arjun and Vikram. They were inseparable until a silly misunderstanding drove a wedge between them. Vikram felt hurt and decided to keep his distance. He didn't join him in his misery, nor did he abandon him completely in his time of need. He simply stayed neutral, neither pushing closer nor pulling away harshly. When Arjun eventually recovered, he realized that Vikram's steady, balanced approach had prevented further hurt. By not being overly clingy or overly cruel, Vikram had shown true character.
