The Gift of Kindness

The story illustrates that those receiving help rejoice more when the giver acts with courtesy and warmth. Beggars rejoice exceedingly when they behold those who bestow (their alms) with kindness and courtesy

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. One evening, while walking through the local market with his father, Arjun noticed an elderly man named Ravi sitting by the roadside. Ravi looked very hungry and tired. Arjun wanted to help, so he approached him with a piece of bread. Instead of just handing it over quickly, Arjun looked Ravi in the eyes, smiled warmly, and said, 'Please, sir, have this.' It wasn't just the food that touched Ravi; it was the respect and the gentle way Arjun offered it. Ravi’s face lit up with a joy that went beyond satisfying his hunger. He felt seen and respected. Arjun realized that while food feeds the stomach, kindness feeds the soul.
