In the grand palace of King Vikram, a heated debate was taking place among the wise counselors. One minister argued that fate is an unstoppable force that governs everyone's life. However, the clever minister, Soman, disagreed. 'Your Majesty,' Soman said with a smile, 'fate may set the stage, but our intelligence and presence of mind can change the ending.'
The King, wanting to test Soman's claim, devised a plan. He instructed the stable master to release a large, agitated bull into a narrow alleyway where Soman would be walking the next morning. The alley was so tight that there would be no room for Soman to run away.
The following day, the King and his courtiers watched from a hidden balcony. As Soman entered the narrow passage, the bull was released. It charged toward him with terrifying speed. For a split second, Soman felt a surge of fear, but he did not let panic take control. His eyes scanned the surroundings for any advantage.
He spotted a thick, thorny bramble bush growing near the wall. Thinking quickly, Soman grabbed a long, thorny branch and threw it directly into the bull's path just as it was about to strike. The sharp thorns pricked the bull's nose and legs, causing it to recoil in surprise and turn away from him. Soman quickly ducked behind a sturdy stone pillar, remaining safe as the bull wandered off in a different direction.
The King rushed down, his face filled with admiration. 'Soman, you have proven that a sharp mind can overcome even the most difficult destiny!' he proclaimed, acknowledging the power of wisdom.
