Near the edge of a lush green forest, there was a beautiful meadow where four cows named Somu, Ramu, Kapilan, and Mani lived. They were not just neighbors; they were inseparable friends. Whenever they went to graze, they stayed close together. This unity was their greatest strength. Once, when a hungry tiger tried to ambush them, the four cows stood shoulder to shoulder and charged with their horns, chasing the tiger far away.
However, one sunny afternoon, a small disagreement broke out. They began to argue over who got to graze on the freshest patch of clover. "This side is mine!" shouted Somu. "No, I saw it first!" countered Mani. The argument grew heated, and pride took over. Instead of making up, they decided to graze separately to prove they didn't need each other.
Watching from behind the bushes, the tiger’s eyes gleamed with joy. "Finally, they have made it easy for me," the tiger whispered.
The next day, while Somu was grazing alone near a thicket, the tiger sprang from the shadows. Somu bellowed for help, but there was no one to come to her aid. A day later, Ramu, who was also wandering alone, fell victim to the tiger's trap. One by one, because they were no longer a team, the tiger was able to hunt them down easily.
By the time the remaining cows realized their mistake, it was too late. They learned the hard way that their strength lay not in their individual power, but in their togetherness.
Moral
Unity is strength; division leads to downfall.
