The True Ornament

In a bright little village lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun had many expensive toys and gadgets, but he had a habit of speaking very rudely to others. He would often shout, 'Don't touch my things!' or 'I am better than you!' Because of his arrogance, no one wanted to play with him. One afternoon, an elderly woodcarver named Mr. Samuel was working on a beautiful wooden sculpture in the village square. Arjun, wanting to show off, tried to grab the sculpture. Mr. Samuel gently said, 'Please wait, son, the wood is still delicate.' Arjun snapped back, 'Who are you to tell me what to do?' Mr. Samuel looked at him kindly and said, 'Arjun, your expensive toys are nice, but they don't make you beautiful. True beauty comes from a humble heart and sweet words.' Arjun felt a sting of shame. He realized that his pride was pushing everyone away. From that day on, he practiced speaking kindly and treating everyone with respect. Soon, Arjun found himself surrounded by friends, realizing that his gentle nature was the most precious ornament he could ever wear.
