The Magic of Kind Words

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun was bright and energetic, but he had a habit of saying unkind things when he was frustrated. One afternoon, his classmate, Leo, showed him a beautiful painting he had worked on for days. Instead of praising him, Arjun laughed and said, 'That looks like a messy scribble!' Leo’s eyes filled with tears, and he quietly walked away. For the next few days, Leo wouldn't even look at Arjun. Arjun felt a heavy sadness in his heart; he missed his friend. That evening, his grandmother sat him down. 'Arjun,' she said gently, 'A scratch on the skin heals quickly, but a harsh word can leave a scar on the heart that lasts a lifetime. Let your words be like honey, not like thorns.' Arjun realized how much his words had hurt. The next day, he approached Leo and said, 'I am so sorry, Leo. Your painting was actually wonderful, and I was wrong to say that.' Leo smiled, and the heavy cloud between them vanished. They became best friends again. From that day on, Arjun chose his words carefully, and everyone in the village loved being around him because of his sweetness.
