In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. He had a little goat that he loved dearly. One sunny afternoon, his best friend, Rohan, came running to him. 'Arjun, your goat nibbled on my flowerbed! You owe me a sweet mango as compensation,' Rohan demanded. Arjun, wanting to keep his friendship strong, kindly gave him a mango. Later that day, a boy named Vikram, who often argued with Arjun, approached him. Vikram had accidentally tripped over the goat's rope, causing the goat to stumble. 'I'm sorry, Arjun, it was an accident,' Vikram said, looking nervous. Arjun paused. Should he be extra kind to Rohan because he was a friend? Or should he be harsh to Vikram because they weren't friends? Arjun decided to be fair. He told Rohan, 'I gave you the mango because you asked, but please watch your flowers next time.' Then he turned to Vikram and said, 'I accept your apology because it was an accident, but please help me fix the rope so it doesn't happen again.' By treating his friend, a stranger, and even a rival with the same sense of fairness, Arjun showed true wisdom.
