In a peaceful valley lived two neighbors, Samuel and Robert. Samuel was a kind man who spent his days helping others and planting trees. Robert, on the other hand, was very wealthy but only cared about his own comfort and gold. When a great storm once hit the valley, Samuel worked tirelessly to help his neighbors rebuild their homes, while Robert locked his doors to protect his riches.
Years passed, and both men grew old. Samuel’s son, David, grew up to be a compassionate young man, just like his father. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, and the entire village loved him. However, Robert’s son, Victor, grew up to be selfish and greedy, much like his father. He cared only for himself and often tricked others for his own gain. Even though Robert had plenty of money, people avoided his family because of Victor's behavior.
One evening, as the villagers gathered, an elder remarked, 'We do not judge a man by the gold he keeps, but by the character of the children he leaves behind.'
