The Tree in the Village Square

Pasupathi was a wealthy farmer with vast lands and bountiful harvests. However, he wasn't just rich in money; he was rich in kindness. One year, a terrible drought hit the village. The crops withered, and the people grew hungry and worried. Instead of hiding his grain in his granary, Pasupathi opened his doors to everyone. He shared his food and used his wealth to dig new wells for the community. A young boy asked him, 'Sir, won't you run out of wealth if you give it all away?' Pasupathi smiled warmly and replied, 'Wealth is not meant to be hoarded; it finds its true purpose when it serves others.' Because of his generosity, the village recovered and thrived. Just as a fruit-laden tree standing in the center of a town provides shade and food to every passerby, Pasupathi’s wealth became a blessing to everyone around him.
