The Wealth of Kindness

In a bright, green village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun was clever and fast, but he had a cold heart; he rarely cared about the struggles of others. One sunny afternoon, while playing near the river, Arjun saw a small sparrow struggling on the ground with a broken wing. His friend, Leo, knelt down and said, 'Arjun, look! This little bird is in pain. Let’s help it.' Arjun just shrugged. 'I don't have time for a bird. My game is more important,' he said, walking away. A few weeks later, while exploring the woods, Arjun tripped and fell into a deep, muddy pit. He hurt his ankle badly and couldn't climb out. He shouted for help, but the forest was silent. As the sun began to set, the very same sparrow, now healed, flew down and chirped loudly near his head, attracting a passing gardener. The gardener rescued Arjun. As Arjun sat home recovering, he realized that while he had his toys and games, he had no friends who truly cared. He began to share his things and help those in need. He learned that true wealth isn't in his pocket, but in his heart.
