The Mask of Kindness

In a peaceful village lived a man named Ravi. To everyone else, Ravi seemed like the kindest and most spiritual person in town. He wore simple clothes and spoke softly, earning everyone's respect. However, Ravi had a secret. He used his reputation to hide his dishonest actions. One afternoon, during a village festival, Ravi pretended to be a holy man to gain even more trust. He would sit near the elders and act very wise. Using this 'holy mask,' he began stealing small valuables from people's homes while they were busy celebrating. He thought no one would ever suspect a man of such high character. But a young girl named Maya noticed something strange. She saw Ravi slipping a gold ring into his pocket while pretending to pray. Maya bravely told the village head. When the truth came out, the villagers were heartbroken. They realized that Ravi was like a hunter hiding in the bushes to catch birds—using a disguise to commit wrongs. Ravi lost the respect of the village and had to leave. The villagers learned that true goodness is found in one's heart, not in the clothes one wears.
