The Mirror of the Heart

In a peaceful village lived two friends, Kavi and Rohan. Kavi was known for his honesty and gentle nature, while Rohan always looked for shortcuts to get ahead. One summer, the village prepared for a grand festival. Kavi, who was a skilled weaver, spent weeks creating beautiful, colorful silks. Rohan, feeling jealous, decided to steal one of Kavi's finest silk cloths to sell it as his own at a higher price. He managed to take it under the cover of night. However, the moment the theft was done, something changed inside Rohan. He couldn't sleep, he couldn't eat, and every time someone looked at him, he felt like they knew his secret. His heart felt heavy, like a dark cloud was following him. Meanwhile, Kavi worked with a light heart, finding joy in every thread he wove. During the festival, Rohan tried to sell the stolen silk, but his trembling hands and nervous eyes drew suspicion from the villagers. Realizing that the stolen wealth brought him nothing but misery, Rohan confessed his mistake to Kavi. Kavi forgave him, but Rohan learned that a dishonest act leaves a permanent stain of unrest in the mind.
