The Kind Truth

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. He was a bright child who always tried to be honest. One sunny afternoon, while playing at his friend Rohan's house, Arjun accidentally knocked over and broke a beautiful wooden toy that Rohan had spent days making. Rohan began to cry, seeing his hard work shattered. Arjun felt a knot in his stomach. He thought, 'If I tell him, he will be even angrier, and my parents might be disappointed in me.' But he remembered his grandfather's words about being a good person. Taking a deep breath, Arjun approached Rohan. 'Rohan, I am so sorry. I was being careless and I broke your toy,' he said softly. Rohan was sad about the toy, but seeing Arjun's honesty, his anger melted away. 'I'm sad about the toy, Arjun, but I'm glad you didn't lie to me,' Rohan replied. Arjun spent the rest of the afternoon helping Rohan fix the toy and promised to be more careful.
