The Light of Truth

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. He was a bright boy, but he had a habit of telling small lies to avoid trouble. One afternoon, while playing with his mother Meera's favorite ceramic vase, Arjun accidentally knocked it over, and it shattered into pieces. Terrified of being scolded, he quickly said, 'Mom, I saw a stray cat run past the window and hit it!' Meera looked into Arjun's eyes. She knew immediately that he was lying, but she didn't scold him right then. A few days later, during the village fair, Arjun saw a friend named Rohan accidentally break a small stall decoration. While others ignored it, Arjun walked up to Rohan and whispered, 'Rohan, tell the truth. It will make your heart feel much lighter.' Rohan confessed, and to everyone's surprise, the shopkeeper praised Rohan for his honesty. Meera, who was watching, walked up to Arjun and said, 'Arjun, many lamps can light up a room, but only the lamp of truth can light up a person's soul and guide them correctly.' Arjun realized his mistake and promised to always walk in the light of truth.
