The Joy of Sharing

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Kavi. Kavi was a bright boy, but he had one small habit: he loved to keep everything for himself, especially his food. One sunny afternoon, his mother prepared a delicious meal of rice and vegetables. As Kavi sat down to eat, he noticed a tiny sparrow perched on the windowsill. The little bird looked exhausted and hungry, its tiny chest heaving with effort. Kavi hesitated. 'This is my lunch,' he thought. 'Why should I give any away?' But as he watched the sparrow's weak movements, a feeling of kindness stirred in his heart. He crumbled a small piece of food and placed a drop of water near the bird. To his delight, the sparrow chirped softly and regained its strength. Seeing the bird fly away happily made Kavi feel a warmth he had never felt before. That evening, instead of eating alone, Kavi invited his friend Arjun and even shared some snacks with the elderly neighbor, Mr. Ram. He realized that food tastes much sweeter when shared with others and that protecting life, no matter how small, is the greatest virtue.
