On the edge of a lush forest lived a young boy named Arjun and his grandfather. His grandfather was a wise healer who believed that every living creature had a right to exist. One afternoon, while exploring the woods, Arjun stumbled upon a tense moment: a large cobra was coiled, ready to strike a tiny, trembling rabbit. Arjun’s first instinct was to grab a heavy stone to drive the snake away, perhaps even hurting it in the process. But then, he remembered his grandfather’s teaching: 'Arjun, if you make a true vow never to harm a living soul, even death will hesitate to touch you.' Taking a deep breath, Arjun didn't strike. Instead, he used a long, fallen branch to gently nudge the snake toward a nearby bush, guiding it away from the rabbit without causing it any harm. He chose protection over destruction. As he grew older, Arjun lived by this vow. He moved through the world with a calm heart, knowing that his refusal to take life had created a spiritual shield around him, bringing him peace and safety throughout his years.
