In a peaceful village lived two boys, Vikram and Arjun. Vikram was the son of a wealthy landlord, always dressed in fine silks and surrounded by expensive toys. Arjun was the son of a humble carpenter, possessing nothing but a few well-worn books and a curious mind. One day, the village elders announced a challenge: whoever could solve an ancient riddle would be honored as the village's wise guide for the upcoming festival. Vikram stepped forward confidently, thinking his status would make him special. However, when the riddle was posed, he stood silent and confused. Then, Arjun stepped forward. Using the knowledge he had gathered from his books, he calmly explained the answer. The villagers cheered for Arjun, realizing that his wisdom far outweighed Vikram's wealth. Vikram realized that being born into a rich family did not make him superior if he lacked knowledge.
The True Treasure
The story illustrates that even if someone is born into a high status, they lack true dignity if they are unlearned, whereas the learned are respected regardless of their background. The unlearned, though born in a high caste, are not equal in dignity to the learned; though they may have been born in a low caste
