The Lion's False Pride

In a lush green forest lived a lion named Leo. Leo was indeed strong, but he had a dangerous habit: he constantly boasted about how great he was. He believed he was invincible and that no one could ever challenge him. One sunny afternoon, the forest animals gathered for a talent show. The rabbits showed off their speed, and the monkeys performed amazing acrobatics. Leo watched them and let out a thunderous roar. "Why should I do such silly things?" he scoffed. "I am the King! One roar from me is enough to shake the entire world!" An old, wise turtle named Toby crawled up to him and whispered, "Leo, true strength is not in the noise you make, but in knowing your limits and when to act with wisdom." Leo laughed scornfully, "Be quiet, little turtle! You know nothing of greatness!" However, a few weeks later, a severe drought hit the forest. Food became scarce. Leo tried to use his strength to bully other animals away from the few remaining water holes. But instead of gaining respect, he only gained enemies. His pride had isolated him. Without the support of the community and unable to find a clever way to survive the drought, Leo became weak and exhausted. As he sat alone, hungry and tired, he realized that his belief in his own unlimited power was his greatest mistake. He learned that knowing one's true capacity is the only way to truly lead.
