The Wise Giver

In a peaceful village lived a farmer named Arjun. Arjun was known for his kindness; he never turned anyone away when they were in need. One summer, his neighbor, Ravi, came to him in distress. 'Arjun, my crops have failed, and I have nothing to feed my family. Can you help me?' Ravi pleaded. Without a second thought, Arjun handed over almost all his savings to Ravi. A few months later, a sudden drought hit the village. Arjun's family needed money to buy grain and seeds for the next season, but his pockets were empty because he had given away everything without planning. He felt helpless as he watched his family struggle. His elderly father sat him down and said, 'My son, generosity is a virtue, but giving without measuring your own means is like pouring water into a leaking pot. If you don't protect your foundation, you won't be able to help anyone in the future.' Arjun realized his mistake.
