The Path of Goodness

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. His father was a respected man, known throughout the land for his kindness and honesty. One sunny afternoon, Arjun was playing a game of tag with his friend, Rohan. As they ran through the meadow, Arjun noticed an elderly neighbor, Mr. Samuel, struggling to carry a heavy basket of firewood near the path. For a moment, Arjun hesitated. 'If I stop now, the game will end, and I'll lose my momentum,' he thought. He ran to Mr. Samuel and helped him carry the basket all the way to his porch. Mr. Samuel smiled warmly and said, 'Thank you, Arjun. Your kindness is a rare treasure.' That evening, Arjun told his father about his decision. His father hugged him and said, 'By choosing to do what is right instead of what is easy, you have secured your own character. To ignore what is praised as good is to invite regret for a lifetime.' Arjun felt a deep sense of peace, knowing he had chosen the right path.
