The Light in the Eyes

In a bright little village lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun had very large, sparkling eyes that everyone admired. However, Arjun was not a kind boy. He often ignored others and spoke sharply. One day, a new student named Leo joined his class. Leo was very shy. Instead of welcoming him, Arjun looked at him with a cold, mocking stare. Even though Arjun's eyes were beautiful, they lacked warmth. Seeing this, Arjun's grandfather took him to a garden. He pointed to a magnificent rose bush and said, 'Arjun, look at these roses. They are stunning, aren't they? But if their petals were sharp and unkind, no one would want to look at them. A person's beauty is not in their features, but in the kindness they show through their eyes.' Arjun realized his mistake. The next day, when Leo tripped and dropped his books, Arjun didn't laugh. He ran to help him. As he smiled at Leo, his eyes truly began to shine with a beautiful, gentle light.
