He thought about his family's needs, but he also knew that wealth gained through deceit would stain his soul. Aryan, watching from a distance, saw the struggle in his father's eyes. Vikram looked Mr. Khanna in the eye and said, 'Sir, I may be poor, but my dignity is not for sale. I would rather live simply with my truth than live in luxury with a lie.' Word of Vikram's integrity spread throughout the valley. People began to respect him deeply, and he lived a life of quiet pride. Aryan realized that his father's character was more valuable than any treasure.
