The Choice of Two Friends

In a peaceful village lived two friends, Arjun and Rohan. Arjun was known for his kindness and patience, while Rohan was impulsive and always wanted to do whatever he felt like at that moment. One sunny afternoon, while walking to the village fair, they saw an elderly woman struggling to carry a heavy basket of fruits. Arjun immediately ran to her, "Let me help you, grandmother," he said, gently taking the basket from her hands. Rohan, however, rolled his eyes and said, "Come on, Arjun! If we stop now, we will miss the magic show!" and hurried ahead. A little later, they passed a small stall selling colorful toys. Rohan saw a beautiful wooden whistle that he wanted, even though he had no money for it. Without thinking of the consequences, he reached out to grab it. Arjun caught his hand and whispered, "Rohan, just because we want something doesn't mean we should take it. A good person follows what is right, not just what they feel like doing." Rohan looked at Arjun's calm, honest face and felt a pang of shame. He realized that acting only on one's whims, without regard for rules or others, is what makes a person lose their dignity. From that day on, Rohan tried to think before he acted.
