The Shadow of Pride

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun was known for being honest and kind. One afternoon, while playing near the village market, he saw his friend, Rohan, acting quite selfishly. Rohan had found a lost coin on the ground and, instead of looking for the owner, he quickly hid it in his pocket with a sly grin. Watching this, Arjun felt a sudden surge of superiority. 'I am so much better than Rohan!' he thought to himself, feeling a strange sense of pride in his own honesty. His grandfather, who had witnessed this moment, walked up to him and whispered, 'Arjun, seeing someone else's bad behavior shouldn't make you feel superior. True character isn't found in looking down on others, but in helping them rise.' Arjun realized that his pride was hollow. Instead of feeling better than Rohan, he decided to help Rohan understand the importance of honesty.
