The Ache of Goodbye

In a peaceful valley lived Arjun and Meera. They were inseparable; wherever Arjun went, Meera was right by his side. Arjun was a talented woodcarver, and Meera was a weaver of beautiful tapestries. One spring, Arjun received an invitation to showcase his work in a distant city. As the day of his departure approached, a heavy cloud hung over their home. On the morning he was to leave, Arjun stood before Meera, trying to be brave. 'I will return before the flowers fade,' he promised. But as he spoke of leaving while standing right there in front of her, Meera felt a sharp pang in her heart. His presence was comforting, but the mere mention of his departure made the upcoming separation feel unbearable. She realized that even when he was standing right there, the words of parting made the distance feel much wider than it actually was.
