The Balanced Heart

In a peaceful valley lived a carpenter named Arjun and his wife, Meera. Arjun was a very talented man, but he often got so lost in his woodworking that he forgot the world around him. One month, Arjun decided to build a magnificent wooden throne. He worked day and night, pouring all his passion into the wood. However, in his excitement, he neglected Meera. He didn't listen to her stories, didn't share his meals with her, and ignored her presence. Meera felt lonely and heavy-hearted, like a shadow in her own home. One evening, Arjun saw a group of travelers carrying a ceremonial pole with baskets on both ends. He noticed that when one basket was much heavier than the other, the person carrying it struggled and cried in pain. But when both baskets were perfectly balanced, the traveler walked with a smile. Arjun realized his mistake. He saw that his love was like that unbalanced pole—he was giving his passion to his work, but giving nothing back to his wife. He realized that for a relationship to be joyful, love must flow from both sides equally. He began to spend time with Meera, listening to her and sharing his life. Their home, once quiet and sad, became filled with laughter and warmth.
