In a peaceful valley lived a farmer named Somu. He worked tirelessly on his vast fields, growing golden grains and fresh vegetables. As the harvest season approached, his crops looked magnificent, shimmering under the morning sun.
However, a problem arose. A large flock of pigeons began visiting his fields every day. They would peck at the seeds and nibble on the young sprouts. Somu tried shouting and waving his arms to scare them away, but the pigeons were persistent and returned as soon as he left.
Frustrated and angry, Somu thought, 'These birds are stealing my hard work!' He decided to take drastic action. The next day, he went to the village market and bought a very strong, toxic chemical meant to drive away pests.
He sprayed the chemical all over his fields. The next morning, Somu went to check his crops and was met with a grim sight. Many pigeons lay lifeless in the fields. But the real tragedy was just beginning. The strong chemical had seeped deep into the soil.
As the weeks passed, Somu realized that nothing would grow in his field anymore. The soil had become barren and poisoned. In his attempt to protect a small portion of his crop from the birds, he had destroyed the very land that fed him. He sat by his empty field, realizing too late that a moment of uncontrolled anger had cost him his entire livelihood.
