In a beautiful village, there was a large, lush green pond where many colorful frogs lived happily. One evening, Ravi and his friends went to the pond's edge to play.
While playing, a mischievous thought crossed Ravi's mind. He picked up a small pebble from the ground and tossed it toward a frog sitting on a lily pad. The pebble didn't hit the frog, but the splash startled it, causing it to dive deep into the water. Seeing the frog jump in fear made Ravi laugh.
"Look how it jumps!" Ravi shouted excitedly. Seeing his fun, the other boys joined in. Each of them picked up stones and began throwing them toward the frogs. The peaceful atmosphere of the pond was broken by the sound of splashing and shouting.
Suddenly, a large frog poked its head above the water and spoke. "Little boys, please do not hurt us. We are very frightened," it pleaded softly. But the boys were too caught up in their game to listen to the tiny voice.
A moment later, another frog swam up, looking very worried. "Instead of your stones, we should be worrying about the big water snake that comes out at this hour! Where will we hide if you keep disturbing us?" it cried out.
As soon as the boys heard about the snake, their laughter turned into terror. They realized that their 'game' was actually quite dangerous and unkind. Fearing for their own safety, the boys dropped their stones and ran away as fast as they could. The frogs, finally left in peace, returned to their quiet lives in the pond.
