In the cozy corner of a large house lived a mother mouse and her curious little son. The little mouse was always eager to see what lay beyond their small hole in the wall. One sunny morning, while his mother was resting, the little mouse decided to sneak out and explore the vast garden outside.
The garden felt like a magical kingdom to him. As he scurried through the tall grass, he spotted something extraordinary. Near a rosebush, there sat a creature with fur as white as snow and eyes that seemed incredibly gentle. It looked as soft as a silk cushion. The little mouse thought, "What a kind friend this must be! I shall go and say hello."
But just as he took a step forward, a sudden, loud noise shattered the peace. "Cock-a-doodle-doo! Cock-a-doodle-doo!" A bright, colorful bird with sharp claws and energetic wings came rushing through the garden. The sudden commotion startled the white creature, which immediately crouched low, ready to pounce on the little mouse!
Terrified, the little mouse scrambled back as fast as his tiny legs could carry him, hiding deep inside his home. When he finally returned that evening, his mother was waiting with worried eyes. "Where have you been, my little one?" she asked. The mouse trembling, explained, "I saw a beautiful, soft white friend, but a loud monster came and ruined everything!"
Mother mouse sat him down and spoke softly. "Listen closely, my child. That beautiful white creature you saw was a cat. Though it looks soft and calm, it is a hunter that looks for mice. The loud creature you heard was a rooster. It was the rooster's sudden noise that distracted the cat and saved your life. Never judge someone's heart by how they look on the outside."
