In a lush green forest lived a clever fox named Felix. One sunny afternoon, while wandering near a river, Felix accidentally slipped and fell into a deep, swirling pool. He struggled desperately, paddling with all his might, until he finally managed to scramble onto the muddy bank.
Felix was completely exhausted. His muscles ached, and his fur was soaked. He felt so weak that he couldn't even lift his head, let alone walk. He lay down under the shade of a large banyan tree to recover.
As he rested, a swarm of small flies began to buzz around his wounds. The constant buzzing and landing on his skin made him feel uneasy. A kind porcupine named Pip, who was passing by, saw Felix in this miserable state.
"Oh dear, Felix! You look terrible," Pip said, approaching him cautiously. "Those flies are bothering you terribly. Should I come closer and shoo them away for you?"
Felix opened his tired eyes and whispered, "No, Pip, please stay back. Don't try to drive them away. Right now, I am too weak to fight or move. If you come near and start waving your paws, the flies might get agitated and sting me even harder. I must wait for my strength to return and let them leave on their own."
Pip realized that Felix was using his patience to survive the discomfort. After a while, Felix's strength slowly returned, and he was able to stand up and walk away, leaving the flies behind.
