In the heart of a lush, green forest, four unlikely friends lived in perfect harmony: Kavi the crow, Mira the deer, Pip the mouse, and Slowly the tortoise. They spent their days sharing stories and enjoying the peace of the woods.
One sunny afternoon, the peace was shattered. Kavi, who was perched high on an ancient oak tree, spotted a stranger entering the forest. It was a hunter, carrying a heavy net and a sack.
"Danger! Hide immediately!" Kavi cawed loudly, swooping down to warn the others. The animals scrambled for cover. However, Slowly the tortoise felt a wave of sadness. "I am too slow to run like you all," he whispered, trembling. "Please, just go and save yourselves."
Pip the mouse nudged him gently. "Don't lose heart, friend. Panic only leads to mistakes. Stay calm, and we will find a way."
The hunter's eyes caught a glimpse of a moving shell. He scooped up Slowly and stuffed him into his dark sack. As the hunter began to walk away, the remaining three friends realized they had to act fast.
Kavi took to the sky to act as the scout. "He is moving towards the clearing!" he signaled. Meanwhile, Mira the deer came up with a daring idea. She ran ahead and collapsed near the hunter's path, lying perfectly still as if she were lifeless.
When the hunter saw the magnificent deer, his eyes widened. "What luck! A deer as well!" Thinking the tortoise was safe in the bag, he dropped the sack on the ground and rushed toward Mira.
This was the signal. Pip the mouse darted from the bushes and quickly gnawed through the ropes of the sack. Slowly crawled out just in time. Kavi let out a sharp, piercing cry, "Now, Mira! Run!"
Mira leaped up and vanished into the thicket in a flash. The hunter reached for her, but she was gone. He looked back at his empty sack and sighed in frustration. The four friends reunited in a safe grove, realizing that their teamwork and calm minds had saved them all.
