In a quiet village lived a hardworking farmer named Somu and his wife, Nila. Though they worked from dawn to dusk, they struggled to make ends meet. One evening, as the sun was setting, three elderly travelers arrived at their humble doorstep. They carried an air of wisdom and calm.
Nila approached them curiously and asked, "Honored guests, who might you be, and what brings you to our home?" The travelers smiled gently. "We represent three paths in life," they replied. "Our names are Kindness, Wealth, and Success. You may choose only one of us to enter your home and stay with you forever."
Nila hurried inside to tell Somu. Somu thought for a moment and said, "If we invite Wealth, we will never lack for food or comfort. Let us choose Wealth."
Nila shook her head. "But Somu, if we have Wealth, we can use it to buy our way to Success. It is better to invite Success directly."
Just then, their young daughter, Kavitha, came running to them. She was known in the village for her gentle heart and how she helped every wounded bird or hungry animal. Seeing her, the travelers smiled. Somu and Nila realized that Kavitha herself was the embodiment of kindness. "We choose to welcome Kindness into our home through our daughter," they decided.
As soon as the traveler named Kindness stepped across the threshold, a remarkable thing happened. Wealth and Success, who were standing outside, followed closely behind her, entering the house as if they belonged there. The family watched in awe. Kindness spoke softly, "You were looking for riches or glory, but you found the key. When you welcome Kindness, Wealth and Success will naturally follow you wherever you go."
Moral
