However, the sorceress eventually tracked her down. Disguised as an old traveler, she offered Moonfrost a shimmering, enchanted fruit. As soon as Moonfrost took a bite, she fell into a deep, magical sleep. In her excitement to celebrate her victory, the sorceress tripped and fell into a deep, muddy pit, unable to climb out. The seven guardians found Moonfrost and, fearing for her safety, placed her in a protective resting place.
Later, a brave Prince from a neighboring land arrived while exploring the forest. Being an expert in herbal medicine, he recognized the enchantment and used rare forest herbs to wake Moonfrost.
