In a vibrant kingdom, there lived a skilled archer named Kavi. Kavi was not just talented; he was incredibly ambitious. He had a rule for himself: he would only join the side that was winning. He believed that being on the winning side was the only way to ensure glory.
One day, the wise sage Aruna met Kavi. To test his legendary precision, Aruna pointed to a distant tree. "Kavi, can you shoot an arrow that pierces the leaves on the branches and also touches the single fallen leaf hidden beneath my feet?" Aruna asked.
Kavi smiled confidently. He drew his bow, released the arrow, and with a whistling sound, the arrow swept through the canopy and gently brushed the leaf at Aruna's feet. Aruna was impressed by his skill but remained calm.
"Tell me, Kavi," Aruna asked, "if a great battle were to happen tomorrow, which army would you fight for?"
Without a second thought, Kavi replied, "I will fight for the army that is leading the battle. I have no interest in losing sides."
A shadow of sadness crossed Aruna's face. "Kavi, you are like a bird that only lands on trees that are not swaying. You seek the stability of victory, but you lack the foundation of loyalty. If you only stand where the wind blows towards success, you will never truly belong anywhere. A man who changes sides for glory is a man who has no home in the hearts of others."
Kavi realized that his pursuit of easy victory had made him untrustworthy. He understood that true greatness comes from standing by your principles, even when the odds are against you.
Moral
Loyalty is more valuable than victory; those who chase only success lose their integrity.
