In a peaceful village lived a hardworking woodcutter named Somu. He had a son named Kadir. While Kadir was a kind boy, he had a major flaw: he was extremely impulsive and never stopped to think before acting. His father had tried many times to teach him patience, but Kadir always rushed through everything.
As Somu grew older, he decided it was time for Kadir to take over the family business. "Kadir, you must go to the forest today to collect wood. But listen carefully, do not start any work until you truly understand what needs to be done," Somu warned.
Kadir looked confused. "Father, I know how to swing an axe, but I don't know which trees are safe to cut," he replied.
Somu gave him a piece of advice. "Go to the forest and watch the experienced woodcutters. Observe how they choose their trees and how they prepare their carts. Follow their method exactly."
When Kadir reached the forest, he watched the other workers. He noticed they would cut a tree, carefully guide it to the ground, and only then lift it onto their carts. Kadir thought to himself, "Why are they working so slowly? They are wasting so much time!"
Wanting to be faster than everyone else, Kadir found a large tree. Instead of clearing the area, he drove his wooden cart directly underneath the branches to save time. He began chopping the tree without checking which way it would lean.
CRASH! The moment the tree fell, it landed right on top of the cart. The wood splintered and the cart was completely destroyed. Kadir stood there in shock. However, instead of realizing his mistake, he thought, "This cart is made of very poor quality wood! It couldn't even handle one tree!"
He walked back home grumbling about the broken equipment. When Somu heard what had happened, he sighed deeply in disappointment. He realized that without careful observation and patience, Kadir was not yet ready for the responsibility.
