On the edge of a vast forest lived two sisters, Nila and Meena. They lived in a tiny, broken hut and struggled every day to find enough to eat. Nila had a peculiar challenge; she suffered from a very short memory. She would often forget what she had just heard or done, which made life very difficult for the two young girls.

One sunny morning, Nila ventured into the woods to gather wild berries. She carried only a small earthen pot filled with water. As the afternoon sun grew hot, Nila felt her throat parching. Just as she was about to take a sip, she saw an old woman sitting under a withered tree, looking extremely weak and thirsty. Without a second thought, Nila walked over and offered the woman her precious water.

In a flash of golden light, the old woman transformed into a radiant forest fairy. "Your heart is as pure as this spring, Nila," the fairy said. She handed Nila a small copper bowl. "This is a magical vessel. If you speak a wish, the bowl will fill with that very thing. But remember, you must also know the secret word to make it stop, or it will never end."

Nila rushed home and shared the news with Meena. Hungry and excited, they whispered the wish for delicious food. Instantly, the bowl overflowed with warm bread, fruits, and sweets. However, because of Nila's forgetfulness, she forgot the second command to stop the flow. The food kept coming and coming!

Instead of panicking, the sisters decided to call all the hungry villagers to their home. They shared the bounty with everyone. Soon, an old man approached them, weeping. "My grandchildren have not eaten for two days," he sobbed. Seeing his pain, Nila and Meena did something brave. They gave the magical bowl and the stopping command to the old man, saying, "Please, use this to feed your little ones."

As they walked away, the fairy reappeared. "Why did you give away your only treasure?" she asked. Nila replied softly, "We know how much hunger hurts. We don't want anyone else to feel that pain."

The fairy smiled warmly. "Because you chose kindness over greed, you shall have both." The fairy returned the bowl to them and, with a gentle touch, healed Nila's memory. From that day on, the sisters used the bowl to ensure that no one in their village ever went hungry again.
