Once upon a time, in a peaceful village nestled near the mountains, lived a girl named Nila and her mother. Nila was a wonderful child, but she was unique—she was no taller than a tiny wildflower. Despite her size, her mother loved her more than anything in the world.
One sunny afternoon, while Nila was exploring the garden, a large green frog hopped out from the bushes. Before she could run, the frog scooped her up and carried her to a shimmering pond. He placed her gently on a wide lotus leaf and said, "Stay here with me in the water, Nila. We shall be together forever!"
Nila trembled with fear. "I only want to go home to my mother!" she cried. A kind fish watching from below saw her distress and nibbled on the edge of the lotus leaf. The leaf broke free and began to float away like a tiny boat, carrying Nila downstream.
However, her journey was not over. A giant beetle flew down and caught her, whisking her away to a hidden garden. The beetle also wanted her to stay and be his companion. Feeling lost, Nila found a small crack in a wall and scurried inside, where a friendly mouse offered her shelter. But soon, another mouse arrived and also insisted that she stay with him.
Just as Nila felt she would never find her way home, a small sparrow fell from the sky, its wing injured. Instead of running away, Nila used her tiny hands to tend to the bird, feeding it seeds and cleaning its wound. When the sparrow was strong enough to fly, Nila shared her story through tears. "Everyone wants me to stay, but I just want to be with my mother."
The sparrow chirped softly, "Your kindness has saved my life. Let me help you. I know someone who can grant your wish."
The sparrow led Nila to a magical forest boy. He looked at her and smiled, "Your size is not your problem, Nila; it is simply that you lack the means to fly like the rest of the world." He whispered a golden spell, and suddenly, beautiful, shimmering wings sprouted from Nila's back. With a joyful cry, Nila soared into the sky, flying straight back into her mother's warm embrace.
